Whether you're a high school student just beginning your college journey or a parent supporting your child through the process, this newsletter is here to provide you with valuable information, tips, and updates to navigate the college admissions process successfully.

In this month's edition:

  1. Application Timeline It's essential to stay on top of deadlines. TIBS colleges has early application deadlines in JANUARY 2024, so start working on your applications now. Make a checklist of required materials, test scores, and recommendation letters.

  2. Campus Visits and Virtual Tours If possible, consider visiting colleges in person or taking virtual tours. This can help you get a feel for the campus and gain insight into the college culture. you can visit our website on or Facebook Page: Thika Institute of Business Studies and many more TIBS COLLEGE social media platforms.

  3. Recommendation Letters Request recommendation letters early from teachers, mentors, or employers who know you well. Provide them with ample information about your goals and achievements to help them write strong letters.

  4. Financial Aid Begin researching financial aid options like CDF and filling out the Application form for Constituency Development Funds once the exercise is opened. Understanding your financial aid package is crucial in making your decision.

  5. Interview Preparation Some colleges conduct interviews as part of their admissions process. Prepare by practicing your responses to common interview questions and researching the college beforehand. Here at TIBS COLLEGE we do not conduct any interview before joining us, we consider your KCSE mean grade.

  6. Stay Informed Keep an eye on college websites and admission offices for updates regarding application procedures, standardized testing policies, Exam Bodies and campus visitation guidelines, as these may change due to evolving circumstances.

Remember, the college admissions process can be overwhelming, but with careful planning and research, you can find the right fit for your academic and personal goals.
